It’s the most wonderful time of the year, the holidays are here!  From family friendly visits with Santa to bustling winter wonderlands, you’ll find a little something for everyone on today’s blog.  All around the Greater New York City area and Long Island, you’ll find dozens of incredible holiday light displays  and drive-through experiences.  We’re gathering as many as we can in one place so you can easily plan your festive family get-togethers, inspired holidates, and other fun activities.

 

 

The Girl Scouts of Suffolk County Holiday Light Show in Shirley runs from now through December 30th.  You’ll enjoy one and a half miles of dazzling holiday lights displays, seasonal vignettes and scenes, and the all new Girl Scout Way!  It’s picture-perfect and just gorgeous for family memory making.

 

The Town of Islip Holiday Light show is free for the whole family and runs December 2nd through December 31st at Brookwood Hall Park.  You and your family can drive through the gorgeous displays and enjoy a festive evening of twinkling lights and holiday displays!

 

 

The annual Magic of Lights Drive-Thru show is returning to Jones Beach and Nassau County’s South Shore, now with all-new LED lighting displays and a stunning array of digital animation.  It’s a celebration of old and new, of all things timeless and the bright future of tomorrow! It’s an unforgettable experience.

 

The Holiday Drive-Thru Experience at Babylon Town Hall is free for all to attend!  It’s full of festive lights and holiday decorations.  Plus, from Thursday December 1st through Saturday December 3rd  between 6PM and 9PM, you can also mail your letters to the big man himself, Santa!

 

The Riverhead Holiday Light Show is a one and a half mile drive-thru holiday experience that’s synced to all your holiday favorite tunes, and perfect for the whole family to enjoy!  It runs now through December 31st, so what are you waiting for? Let’s get festive!

 

 

The New York Winter Lantern Festival is adding a new location on Long Island at the Nassau County Museum of Art in Roslyn.  Come bring your friends and family and find out what makes this dazzling display such a smashing success year after year. Running now through early January.  You can also catch the Winter Lantern Festival at the Smithtown Historical Society, too.

 

The Girl Scouts of Suffolk County have created an absolutely charming Enchanted Forest walk-through experience this year at Southaven County Park!  Little ones will be utterly dazzled and amazed at the fairytale style displays and twinkling fairy lights.

 

Returning for another year, the Bayville Winter Wonderland has got it all!  Enjoy a holiday train ride, an ice skating rink, festive rock climbing, holiday stories, ax throwing, games, a visit to Santa’s Toy Factory Funhouse and so much more.

 

The Long Beach Boardwalk Lights are a free public display of festive, nautical themed lights o the boardwalk!  It’s free and runs December 2nd through January 14th, making it a great spot to stop and take some winter wonderland family portraits.

 

 

The Holtsville Ecology Site has created an incredible display of indoor walk-through light displays called the Holiday Spectacular, and is hosting a meet and greet photo op with Santa himself!  It runs December 3rd, 4th, 9th-11th, 16th-18th.

 

The LuminoCity Festival is back at Eisenhower Park! This year’s 2022 theme is called “Pure Magic” and is inspired by traditional cultural arts of the Chinese Lantern Festivals with gorgeous lighted art displays.  Runs now through January 8th, and you won’t want to miss this!

 

If you’re looking for an immersive experience full of holiday joy and magic, then the Christmas House Long Island in Lake Grove is where it’s at! Running now through January 7th, this gorgeous curated event is filled to the brim with all things Christmas, and culminates with a beautiful gift store and candy shop.  It’s the sweetest idea for a family event.
