That’s right, friends today is Mardi Gras, also known as “Fat Tuesday!” Traditionally this is a holiday of feasting prior to the Lenten Season of Christianity, but it also has deep roots in pagan springtime ritual and fertility rites. In any event, we’re all in since it’s all about embracing your inner joy by eating rich foods, fatty sumptuous treats, imbibing in cheerful cocktails and toasts, and of course the classic Mardis Gras parade featuring floats, confetti, and beads! After the last two years and change, we could all use a chance to let loose and let the good times roll.
