Audiobooks are a fantastic way to pass the time while passenging on a long car ride. They’re also great at keeping you alert and engaged while driving long distances or commuting to and from work, with the ability to pause or stop whenever you need to focus on the road more easily than a phone call would be.  Today we’re going to share some of our picks for inspiring audiobooks to take with you on your next trip, or even if you’re in need to do some virtual travel on your staycation!

While the books on our list are currently available for purchase on sites like Amazon or Audible and iTunes, they’re not the only places you can find audiobooks!  Check with your local library on how to access their digital lending catalog. Most town, county, and even some college libraries have the option to download an app and check out a limited number of ebooks as well as audiobooks. It’s a fantastic way to stock up on entertainment for your road trip without breaking the bank, and leaves you a little bit of pocket change left for your destination.
