It’s Record Store Day!  Founded in 2007 by indie record store owners and their employees, Record Store Day began as a way to celebrate the unique scene and culture of vinyl music enthusiasts.  The very first Record Store Day event was on April 19th 2008, and while that was a modest event, now there are worldwide celebrations of Record Store Day on every continent barring Antarctica. Each year musicians, record shop owners, and music enthusiasts come together to celebrate the magic of vinyl and music tradition, through a series of performances, signins, special releases, and more!  We’re very excited about the return of this yearly event and being able to stop by local shops in person again!

Here’s a list of great record shops and music stores in the area that could use your patronage.  And be sure to check out their website and social media to find out what special records they’re offering today!  You may just score a limited edition vinyl from your favourite artist if you get there early enough.  Good luck and have fun!
